Rare pigmented variant of dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans in one case
Abstract
The bednar tumor is a rare variant of dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans. Also known as pigmented dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans, this tumor is intermediate grade. It is observed in adults and has a predisposition to affect the shoulder area. We report a rare case of Bednar tumor in a 19-year-old patient. The diagnosis of Bednar tumor should be made in the presence of pigmented deromo-hypodermic fusocellular proliferation.
